Stop the Abuse of Imran Khan!
Community Alliance for Peace and Justice is joining our partner Just Foreign Policy in calling on the U.S. government to press for democratic freedoms and human rights protections in Pakistan.
The government of Pakistan is overseeing a sweeping crackdown on dissent and democratic freedoms. Political prisoners, including former Prime Minister Imran Khan (detained for over 1,000 days), face troubling conditions and lack of due process. Voices calling for accountability are silenced through imprisonment and intimidation.
This matters to communities here at home. Many Americans have family members, colleagues, and friends affected by this crackdown. Transnational repression extends surveillance and intimidation into diaspora communities in the United States, which directly threatens our safety and freedom on American soil.
The United States has both the responsibility and the leverage to press for humane treatment, transparent judicial processes, and accountability. We expect our government to uphold the values it espouses: human rights, justice, and the rule of law.

No Iron Dome for Palestine
Congress is about to embed Israeli weapons technology permanently into U.S. defense contracts. Contact your representative TODAY and demand they vote to strip Section 224 from the NDAA (read about it below). Make sure they know: accountability matters.
CALL the Capitol Switchboard: (202) 224-3121
Section 224, the "United States-Israel Defense Technology Cooperation Initiative," would permanently embed Israeli defense technology into the U.S. defense supply chain, bypassing the annual appropriations process and removing the congressional oversight that has long governed military aid decisions. As one analyst described it, once Israeli-linked defense firms establish co-production facilities and manufacturing work inside American congressional districts, those jobs become political assets that make lawmakers reluctant to oppose programs regardless of human rights concerns. It is, in short, a mechanism designed to make future accountability impossible.
